Harmonic Lasting
- Over time, AKU® has developed its own anatomical lasts, which are the result of years of testing and investigation into the bio-kinesiology of the foot. Harmonic Lasting uses a lower-volume approach to the forefoot, arch and heel. The Harmonic Lasting geometry provides a close and secure fit on traverses, ascents and descents. Sock slippage and blisters are reduced and held in check.
IMS: Internal Midsole System
- AKU® IMS construction reverses the typical lasting process and puts the hard mounting board under the EVA midsole. The result is that the foot morphology is copied on the confortable EVA layer versus a hard unyielding surface as in normal hiking shoes.
