Carbide Flextip - The flexible
synthetic tips can flex up to 30 degrees,
without damaging the pole shaft. The use
of carbide in the steel jacket reaches a
degree of hardness close to that of diamond
to guarantee an optimal grip on ice and
rock surfaces. A less expensive choice is
the polished steel tip, which provides good
support in gravel, however it is recommended
that the carbide tip be used for rock, ice
and hard ground.
Interchangeable Basket system -
Trekking baskets can be screwed on and off,
without additional tools, even in the coldest
conditions. LEKI baskets are designed to
yield in both directions. This prevents
the under-segment from unclasping in use
during rotational movements.
