Leki Super Makalu CorTec Anti-Shock Positive Angle Trekking Poles (Pair) The Leki Super Makalu CorTec Antishock PA Trekking Poles have a Turbo Disc CorTec grip, Automatic comfort strap, Positive Angle, Soft Antishock System, Easy Lock System, Carbide Flextip and Interchangeable Basket System. The absorbent material reduces sweat and is comfortable in cold temperatures Automatic Comfort strap - The strap is equipped with an automatic safety function which releases the hand in dangerou situations. No buckle but soft fleece padding on the inner side reduces irration Positive Angle - the 15° angle on the grip corrects the wrist's position while gripping, without compromising on ergonomic design benefits. In this neutral position, shocks are absorbed more effectively. The hand can remain closed through the entire poling motion. A real safety plus! SAS (Soft Antishock System) - The innoviative Antishock System is the perfect combination of steel spring and elastomer providing precise coordination between spring strength and compression to make walking more comfortable than ever. Reduced stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments are a major benefit. The "Soft Antishock System" can be easily and quickly de-activated. ELS (Easy Lock System) - The new LEKI adjustment system is the one to rely on in every situation. Tests in the field & laboratory show: ELS provides an optimum locking force with less tightening torque. You only need 1.4Nm (Newton Metre) to tighten your poles. The holding force is more than 140kg. 360° reverse turn security prevents the adjustment system from gradually loosening. Carbide Flextip - The flexible synthetic tips can flex up to 30 degrees, without damaging the pole shaft. The use of carbide in the steel jacket reaches a degree of hardness close to that of diamond to guarantee an optimal grip on ice and rock surfaces. A less expensive choice is the polished steel tip, which provides good support in gravel, however it is recommended that the carbide tip be used for rock, ice and hard ground. Interchangeable Basket system - Trekking baskets can be screwed on and off, without additional tools, even in the coldest conditions. LEKI baskets are designed to yield in both directions.
